Introduction
Basic Cost Engineering has been taught at West Virginia University as a two-day seminar since 1994. To meet the demands of busy professionals, it is now offered on the Internet. This course was developed by Dr. Robert C. Creese, professor of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at WVU. This course meets the 15 professional development hour (PDH) requirements needed for professional engineering licensing renewal in many states. The course was approved by the Continuing Education Department of WVU for 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CE Units), which is equivalent to 15 PDH's.
