COMM 105 Introduction to Mass Media

Advertising Minor

You can now earn a communication studies minor online. Communication skills are consistently among the most sought after skills in the workplace. No matter what your major is or where you are employed, communication will be an important aspect of your job. A minor allows you to formally document your knowledge of human communication.

The online minor consists of 15 hours of course work.

Students must take the following course (3 credit hours):

COMM 303Business and Professional Communication

Students must take the following three courses (9 credit hours):

COMM 105 Introduction to Mass Media
COMM 306 Communication-Organizations/Institutions
COMM 308 Nonverbal Communication

Students must select 3 credit hours from the following:

COMM 305 Appreciation of Motion Pictures
COMM 309 Health Communication
COMM 316 Intercultural Communication
