WVU Extended Learning is sponsoring a fall travel course to the nation’s capitol for the “Fallen Hero’s tour” Students will visit the National Police Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery’s Section 60 for those lost in Iraq and Afghanistan, the World War II Veterans Memorial, the United States Memorial Holocaust Museum, Korean Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial and more. This trip is one in a series of travel study courses offered each semester.
The class will take students behind the scenes of the WVU veterans project “WV Remembers WWII”documentary and introduce you to some of the veterans whose stories serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made.

Post-tour final projects: Wednesday, December 3. 2008
Teachers can register for professional development credit (C&I 930) and Regents Bachelor of Arts and other undergraduates can register for a history course (HIST 493 7FA CRN 87632). The course can be taken for noncredit as well.
